Romeo's Info...
I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats. Romeo's Story... "Romeo, Romeo, Where art thou, Romeo?" Here! Here! I’m right here waiting for you!! The original Romeo had a fairy tale love in the beginning and a tragic ending to his life. We want the opposite for our Romeo, whereas he had a tragic beginning to his life, most of it spent in a cage. We are looking for his fairy tale ending. Can you be the one to give him the kind of love one sees in fairy tales? We promise he is way more kissable than a frog! And he is already a prince. Romeo is a 5 year old sweet toy poodle weighing in at about 5lbs. He is silver and loves his person. He likely did not have a lot of human interaction in the first years of his life, but he seeks it out now. He displays some behaviors that are typical of a breeder dog. He does a lot of circling when stressed, however this has decreased over the two weeks he has been with me. He wants to be held and is very content on your lap for as long as you will have him. He does however need to be coaxed to you, this does not take long and once you can touch his cheek he melts and is all yours. I believe once he is comfortable in your home that this will no longer be an issue. He is working on potty training and very much wants to potty outside. He just hasn’t figured out how to tell us yet. He happily wears a belly band and it usually remains dry if he is taken outside on a regular basis. Romeo is crate trained and does fine in one overnight. He has slept with me in my bed also and does great there. Romeo does bark a considerable amount; however I have a very busy household and live in a very active neighborhood so there is much to bark about. Hopefully as he becomes comfortable in his surroundings the barking will decrease. With time and patience Romeo is going to make a wonderful addition to a family. He is good with other dogs. I don’t know about cats, but suspect he would be fine. His name is fitting as he is such a little lover. Romeo is fostering in Potosi, WI, about 20 miles north of Dubuque, Iowa. His adoption fee is $300. Please contact foster Mom, Rhonda @[email protected] or 608-763-4299 to find out more about precious Romeo! |
